Hello!
I finished my final round(s) for a TAM position at Google (GCP) last week and was told by my recruiter that my feedback was great and that I made a solid impression on the team and am "firmly in the running". I was supposed to hear back this week (according to the recruiter) but he just told me that it's still in the process and that I'll have to wait for another week or so.
Is this common at Google ? I have heard they are notorious for being really slow with their hiring process.

Wow. That is a good comp for E2 but not sure what the adjustment for MD locations would be. Here in Orlando E2 pay band is 80-110K so you are towards the upper end of the band. Ask your leader for your comp ratio
I would not recommend asking for a promotion just for higher pay or look for an internal jump to an E3 with a role you would want. You could try asking for a letter grade promotion if you just want higher pay (for example E2G to E2F or E2B) you will probably earn more or as much as E3 G base pay as E2 if you can pull that off.
If there is an open requisition for the position, md law requires employers to provide a pay range for the position when requested.
I’m an electrical engineer in San Francisco, with 5.5 YOE and a PE. I only make $108K, plus a bonus for getting my PE this year. I would say your salary is good, but my company also isn’t known for offering the best pay.
