Hey, looking for advice - I received an offer for 55k with a 5k bonus after getting the SIE licenses for a registered client associate at Morgan Stanley - is this a low offer? And how would you suggest that I negotiate for more, being that this position requires me to travel to work in an office, and I have 10+ yoe in customer service and sales and over 2 yoe in finance (also pursuing a double major bachelor in finance and business admin.)

I appreciate any advice given, thanks!

It’s a low offer for the experience you have, yes

Appreciate your response, might have any suggestions on how to present a counter offer ?

I was hired with no finance experience at the same rate and received a 10k raise upon completion of SIE, S7 and S66. I am doing the equivalent work to a CSA in my division.

It was an increase to my base.

I never ended up in the finance/accounting field like I wanted to- earned my BS Business Admin- Accounting but I drive a forklift and earn $45k, so yeah you got low balled. I'm happy where I am though used the education to secure my retirement. We consider ourselves semi-retired at this point because 45 is too young to not do something.

definately low balled! I would do some research on job platforms and see what they are advertising for salary for that job role and negotiate from the very top first and work your way down if need be. Be sure to not low ball yourself either in the process - remember your worth it too!

This company I am interviewing with is not proposing a base salary and an OTE. They are asking me to create it and I really need guidance here. It’s an AE role in medical SaaS sales for orthopedics surgery. What do I need to ask? So far I know that they cover medical insurance, there is no 401k, and there are private company stock options. It’s mainly inside sales with maybe 10% travel.

My thought was 75k base and 110k OTE. But they are saying to lower the base and increase OTE.

Hi everybody ! I’ve been working in Dubai for the past 6 months as a Marketing Manager in a Web 3 firm. Coming back to the US due to visa status, I’m looking for a similar position in the Crypto Industry. Due to the very technical nature of the industry and market sentiment, there are only software engineers being hired and no marketing :/ any recommendations to go into those technical Industries as a marketer ?

I prepared a presentation for an interview with a sales leader, it went well and I was offered a final interview with regional manager. The sales leader I interviewed with gave me a bunch of feedback, but said to find out information about tech stack, which I for some reason, didn’t consider. I come to find out that deep, hidden within the website of the hypothetical client, they use the service already. Do I roll into the final interview and play dumb or do i present and then come clean?

I am a newly promoted supervisor who has been with my company for 3 years. The promotion came with a salary increase & I was happy about that.

However, since in my new role I have come to discover that people I am now overseeing have a higher pay rate than I do. Some have been with the company longer than I have, some have not.

Maybe it was my bad for not asking for not negotiating my pay raise, but I am wondering what you would do in this situation?
