Business majors get all the great jobs - I'd just stay away from HR management because anyone can get into HR, you don't need to major in it. Explore as many subjects as possible, work on your critical thinking, reading, writing and communication skills, those things will take you far in any industry.

Hi. It depends on what you want to do, really. Don’t be influenced by others too much. Listen to your gut. If you feel it’s right for you now, aim for it. If you have office experience already, how does it feel when you are tasked with HR functions and how does it feel to work in an office setting? Business Administration is broad and can take you anywhere. You sound young, so I say, you’ll need time to experience these roles and learn the foundation(college). I’ve had plenty of friends, including myself changing majors during uni. Good luck.

I have a degree in Business administration and it's absolutely helpful to get a job in the admin profession. Experience is still going to be needed, but some of the better, high paying jobs often are asking for the degree. I have zero regrets in getting it.

Business Administration is great to have as it can be used in several different areas however it's good to stay informed of the business climate and see how AI will be impacting certain professions and industries. HR used to be a very robust field and has been slowly getting more difficult to get into and stay in. First, the outsourcing of it was making an impact and now AI.

The safest industry seems to be the medical field so far and or running equipment. I think we are going to be in for a reality check here shortly because of the advancement in technology that will really make this job market more competitive and dismal.

I would say do it, but look into certifications that you can add to the degree. For example, you end up as an accountant, but you also try for a Cisco certification (CEET) so that you can do accounting on computer hardware logistics ordered.

I am currently working in advertising with experience on fintech & CPG. I would like to work in tech marketing, specifically Google’s APMM program.
I’ve been studying some PM/PMM books/podcasts/videos, attending Google events, and want to keep learning more to try to prepare myself as much as I can.
What resources helped you get into product marketing/Google?
Has anyone here moved from advertising to tech?
Would love to hear from a marketer about their experience getting into Google.
Thank you

Anyone have ideas for jobs that are a mix between administration and clinical work? I went to school for community health and have a lot of manager/patient coordinator experience under my belt, but I'm also a volunteer EMT and would like to start using those skills in my next job that I'm searching for.

Most titles I've found interesting are along the "medical assistants" role, but don't fit the bill cause I don't have an MA license

Help,I started a new career n the events industry and I think I have to quit! The person I report to is so disorganized and there are no other managers in the office to direct day to day operations of our department. On day 2 I was asked to go to a job site and perform a 12 hour day without any training, safety equipment or tools. On day 3 I was asked back to site to do general labor! I ended cutting my hand on an exacto knife and there was no first aid! Is this normal?

Do they ask salary expectations? I have no idea what to say for the salary question. Feedback appreciated. Thanks
