I am planning to jump to a tech/media sales SDR role in NYC. The base offer is 60K with uncapped commission(20 meetings per month for quota). Already got emails and verbal offer, Hiring manager said he got 60K budget approved and only waiting for HR to get back in office.

The hiring range on the JD is 55-65. Im 2nd year in sales and have master's degree, is there any advice on how to negotiate a better salary?

Would it be too much to ask above the hiring range? Like 68-70 base?

Trying to figure out if I should start as an inbound SDR, or try jumping straight into an AE role in SaaS.

Feeling like I’ve been “bait-and-switched”…

I’ve been interviewing at an agency with the intention of filling a Director role. Recruitment reached out soon after my last meet-and-greet interview (about 6 to 7 people total) to tell me the team thinks I would be best suited for an Associate Director role with a fast follow of a Director promotion.

Recruitment can’t tell me what feedback is creating this gap but also won’t stop mentioning the positive praise and feedback the team had for me.
