I had a question regarding roles that mention “no sponsorship” in the job description. I applied to a role at EY indicating that I would require sponsorship, but I was still progressed to the interview stage.

Has anyone experienced a similar situation where a role initially stated no sponsorship, but the company later considered or provided it?

Would appreciate any insights or experiences you can share. Thanks in advance!

An agency I freelance for wants to hire me full-time. They told me for a Sr Copywriter, 100-110k. I countered with 125-150.

I also said I'm interested in a higher-level title - I currently freelance as a Creative Director of Copy elsewhere (they don't have that title at this agency.)

They came back and said yes to the title and to 125, with a 6 month review that could raise it to 145.

Which is good for Sr Copy, but low for CD/ACD level. Don't want to screw myself over. What to say now?

I received an offer for 80k to work as a desktop engineer for TCS at one of their client’s locations. Why are people so hesitant to hire disabled candidates?

I am a visually impaired practitioner in South Africa, with 7 years of experience, and as soon as recruiters or business owners hear/read that I'm disabled, the conversation gets awkward and I never hear from them again.

Possible routes to landing a tech job from outside the United States. Ideally looking for a sponsorship, to move to the states. Helpful resources ?

What is the best way to begin a transition from a help desk job to an actual career path in IT? I’m getting close to being at my current job for a year, however I have a lot of experience in the tech field, which is what landed me this job without any actual IT background. How long does it take to get a job , when you actively apply every day for weeks. Or better still how do I do it right?

Asking advice from a recruiter: I’ve been recently laid off :( This week I took some time to reflect, talk to friends and family. I want to be more thoughtful on my next move and although interviewing right away would be logical I feel I want to take a break and some time for myself. Take a month or two off working and use that time to plan thoughtfully on my next move. Would having that gap in my resume be an issue when I go back to the job market?
