I recently started a new role in a new department. I have a bunch of PTO accrued from my previous role and had planned a vacation for later this year. The vacation would take place right at the 6 month mark into the new job and is planned to be 3 weeks long. Unfortunately, I didn’t think to mention this to the manager prior to starting the role. Are these vacation plans acceptable at all or am I ruining my first impression with the new team? (FYI: We get 20 vacation days annually)

2. Infostrech (Apexon now) 21 fixed 1.25 JB

Infosys permanent wfh (Infosys doesn't have office in Gujarat)
Infostrech (Apexon) 1year wfh then hybrid (office is there in my hometown)

Which should I go with?
In terms of wlb (must for me as I am having small daughter to look after) & job security .

Been working at my company as a new grad for almost a year, but don’t see myself in the team that I am in (working with Salesforce) for long term. Interested in frontend dev and have been learning on my own. Manager says chase doesnt have much React opportunities. Is it possible to make a switch when I barely have experience? Are there companies that will hire by seeing that I am willing to learn and am interested in frontend even tho I don’t have much experience with it yet?

I'll switch to a startup as the only data engineer and will closely work with all the Head ofs + the CTO.

Key positives for my current employer are pay and security. But my new role within the company isn't working for me, and ultimately I don't think it is for the company either.
