I’m quitting and need someone to take over my role. The person I thought was best for it said no. How the heck do I approach someone else on the team without making them feel like second pickings?
Looked at a product management role on LinkedIn, and it had 900 applications within 8 hours of being posted. Is this level of competition normal for the job market? Any advice on how to stand out?
Anyone here from the UK? I'm on a H1B and ain't been home in a fair while. Was hoping to get back for Christmas, given it looks like travel is opening up (at some point?) In November, but my immigration counsel seemed dubious on how easy it would be to renew the H1B to get back to the States in a reasonable time. While country looks like bedlam atm tbh.
How much better are your exit opportunities once you become a manager? I’m currently a senior consultant and on track to make manager next year. Have a couple of offers in my hands contd
MBB helps their employees find an exit opp via alumni connections and an internal job search. Why doesn’t Big 4/ACN/IBM do that? It’s looked down upon to say you are interested in leaving.
7 YOE considering KPMG advisory role. What’s an acceptable base salary range in a MCOL location. And what should it be in HCOL. New to advisory
Any idea about graduate engineer trainee role at VI (Vodafone Idea) ? Will it be IT or electrical/etc ?
Hi folks, My brother joined TCS 3 month back.. from day 1 he is in project. Deployed in client project. But they have given him admin role instead of development. they haven't provided any KT also they are not helping in anything like getting license etc. And forcing them to take task. He had discussion with product owner , architect. But no solution . Still they are forcing. Also role is independent and nobody in team knows that work. Please suggest what to do in this case.
I’m trying to make the jump from agency > platform (not FB…more like Spotify or Twitter etc.). I work with reps at these places as part of my job, but technically their loyalty is to my clients (the ones spending $ on their platform), not to me, working at the client’s creative agency. So it feels weird asking them for a recommendation or referral, but that would obviously be easier than applying on the jobs site... How do I utilize my “network” without making things awkward?
I’m really exhausted and feel that taking time off to recover might be treated like a failure to deliver :( and while I’ve been working way too hard, seems like I’ve not been able to network well to apply to newer roles. Any of you here that took time off from work to just recover and prepare for your exit? Tips please!
Currently looking for jr copywriter job, but I’m seeing mostly copywriter jobs that require 2-3 yrs. My other option seems to be an internship. What’s the likelihood of a jr copywriter position?
Senior Buyer whose specialty is electronic components with 27 years of experience. Recently ended up in the medical world and realizing I under sold myself. Management asked me to do an analysis and come up with a number. My current salary is 82k. In our industry with the same experience etc. jobs are posted for up to 108k. Management mentioned that they want to keep people and they pay their worth. I got this position through a recruiter. Any information good bad or indifferent is appreciated!
Currently in financial services tax WAM federal group at B4, manager. Seriously considering the exit and have been applying actively in various industries (not the typical PE or hedge funds in house role). Which industry is the best in terms of growth opportunities and pay? Fintech? Info/technology? E-learning? My end goal is becoming a head of tax and I want to choose my first industry role wisely. Don't want to get pigeonholed into a dying industry.
Anyone go from audit at B4 to a non-audit role at a young, growing company and can offer some advice on finding roles/selling yourself for the position?
Have an offer from a startup in a high growth space; however, I would be taking a 14% pay cut for the role. The managers are nice, the team is small, and good promotion opportunities. Any advice here? Role is out of Austin.

Has anyone ever accepted an offer and then later rescinded that acceptance? 😬 I’m considering doing this even though I told my self I wouldn’t. I have an opportunity for a FAANG exit that is just too juicy.
A friend of mine interviewed for an Associate role with McKinsey. He is a masters student (not an MBA) with ~2 YOE. He claims that HR told him that base pay for the role is 230K. Is he bullshitting?
Anyone buying a house in the current visa environment? Was holding back, but now I am like WTF, this is never ending, if things go south, I can sell it.
11 hrs on a workday can expense dinner but 4 hrs on a weekend or holiday can expense lunch. Am I supposed to be working 7 hrs every workday or 1-2 hrs every weekend 🤔

What salary should I target moving to industry? I have no idea what is reasonable. I’m in a HCOL area, senior with 3 years of experience. Currently making 100k in public.
I’m coming back to my former job after 6 months and leaving my current position in one of the most toxic places I have ever been. Never thought I could be harassed in so many ways in such short period. Gladly, I left the door and they’re taking me back. Even though it’s a huge relief, I’m worried about how to explain to my coworkers why I’m back. I’m way too vulnerable to lay out the truth. Anyone here to give me a useful tip on how to handle this?
When did you feel like you were successful? People around me think it’s impressive that I work at Deloitte; however, I’m miserable and hate the work I’m doing. Just accepted another job that others would deem a dream company and salary but I’m just afraid of being miserable there too. I just don’t feel like I’m good enough, will be happy, or be in a position where I feel like I’m successful as others.
Whats good work from home reimbursement?
Do you think firms will update expense policies to allow for reimbursable overtime meals in the remote environment (rather than only allowing reimbursement for meals consumed on site)?
Does hiring (in industry) pickup in Q1 given new budgets allocated? Or is it just random lol
Technical Architect Director at Salesforce in HCOL. Looking for industry role with fast pace, great culture, $350K TC. Nothing has had all three criteria. Should I adjust my expectations?
Anyone here at Bridgespan/know someone at Bridgespan? I’m applying and need some advice on their interview process
Has anybody hopped over from an MBB/T2/B4 type of firm to a boutique? Thoughts /perspectives? Would appreciate either a push off the ledge or a pull away from it. Generally fed up with the long hours, lack of project variety, and the firm’s small practice and lack of focus in my interest area and wondering if things would improve at a boutique that specializes in what I want to do.
Just had a referral put in for me at BCG. I have applied previously 11 months ago. My resume has changed significantly since the last time. Will my referral be reviewed?

Real estate experts - I previously stayed in US for 6 years and made 799 credit score, however due to Visa issues I had to move out. Now I have chance to get back to US on L1 Visa. Do any of you know if lenders have any issues lending mortgage to people who are on L1 Visa?
How much comp would you say a firm “brand” is worth to a new MBA hire? Would you give up $20K? $50K? $100K? Does the value go up or down as you get promoted?
Anybody have insights on the Deloitte interview process? Specifically the case study portion.
