Hi all! So I currently have stage 4 endometriosis and just found out I have adenomyosis. I have a low ovarian reserve and have about 4 embryos frozen after 3 rounds of retrieval. Do you think I should do another round “just in case”? My dr recommended to do as many as I can before surgery because that will lower my reserve even more. Any input is greatly appreciated!!

If you can financially/mentally/timing do another round, I would for your own peace of mind. I was told 2-3 tested embryos per one live birth

like

Oof, we didn’t get them tested but they are a grade embryos. I’m hoping with a new job they’ll have fertility benefits.

Depends on how many kids you want. If you want more than 1 kid, probably makes sense to do another retrieval.

like

I’ve been told 2-3 tested embryos per live birth and my friend was told 3-5 untested embryos per live birth, but I don’t know what your situation is (whether your embryos are tested and how many kids you want, but also if there are any complicating factors) — probably best to ask your doctor how many embryos they think you should try to bank for the number of children you want

like

We didn’t test them mainly bc of the low reserve and it’s not 100% accurate for the birth outcome. Our doctor did not recommend the testing due to those reasons. All of the embryos are grade a though so that gives me some hope. I messaged the doctor to see what he would recommend.

I have a weeklong vacation planned in the next few weeks, and right now I don’t see any issues with getting coverage while I’m gone. However, I’m a junior attorney and I’ve been low on hours the past few months, and my work has just started to really pick up. I’m afraid that taking vacation might stop the momentum/end up in me having less work when I get back. Is this something I should consider delaying my vacation over, or am I overthinking this?

I’ve been having a difficult time selling at my company. I have a strong background in metal sales, but took a chance in residential sales right before inflation. My employer promised reimbursement for use of personal devices, which hasn’t happened, health care which he back tracked and made reference to but has not paid, I found out they’re looking for a new rep making the same false promises. Other than looking for other employment, do I have any alternatives to hold them accountable?

Why is it that when the subject of pregnancy is brought up, people love to share their traumatic stories and the m- word (pregnancy loss). "Oh you know that m-s are so common.." like did I ask you?! That word is so triggering for me and I feel like it's etched into my brain like a tumor when someone says it to me. Anyone have recommendations on how to respond to comments like these? TIA!!

Does Next Gen issue a formal report for PGS testing results? I had my embryos tested and my clinic just told me which were normal and abnormal. No other info on embryos ratings, etc. they could have not even sent it in for all I know!
Also, how involved are you REs? I’ve been through 2 retrievals now, but feel kinda in the dark still on a lot of things. Some of the nurses are hit or miss and if I want to talk to my doctor I have to schedule a consultation and its typically a 2 week wait.

To do an ERA or not before transfer is the question. My clinic said currently the recommendation is to only do an ERA with multiple transfer fails, but I’ve read about ERA’s for those with recurrent pregnancy loss as well. Anyone go through this experience?
