For anyone using Khan Academy and Canvas I made a free application built on a Google Spreadsheet that reads in Khan Academy CSV files and sends the scores to the Canvas gradebook. Demo video below and link to site. Hope it helps someone! The setup takes a bit but it has made grading Khan exercises so much easier and quicker.

Pivoting to FDD will provide more value to you than chasing another cert
Kpmg1, yeah that might be the move…
No. There are way better ways to spend your time. CFA is actually very niche and still comes secondary to your network/experience/upskilling.
😣😣 a few years ago, I struggled to get into audit. Then I got my cpa and the opportunities were endless. Would the CFA not give me more opportunities for more relevant experience?
Absolutely, definitely do cfa after cpa
I have my cpa!
CFA on its own won't help you, you need to get some relevant work experience other than audit.
Rather than getting the CFA now, I would find an senior analyst FP&A role, in the short run it will be a step down from your manager role but in the long run it will open more doors.
As a former Big 4 auditor who transitioned into private accounting you are better off taking a accounting managers position and getting your MBA. Most CFO these days have MBA, usually from U of C.
The CFA is not a silver bullet towards getting the roles I expect you are considering. It’s a great achievement no doubt but its value has diminished over the years and frankly having a good network will be more effective. I hate to be ”that guy” but being related or within a same fraternal network seems more effective.
I am both CPA and CFA. I found that CFA didn’t help a lot in job seeking. In addition, to pass the CFA 3 level exams is harder than CPA and each level will take 300 hours study on average. You may consider it when you are at the position related to either cooperate finance or investment.
