Hi Dance Teachers! What have been your favorite “get to know you activities” over zoom on the first few days of school?

Generally curious how many companies offer phone reimbursement? My last gig did not but the current one does. Legally it seems, all employers are required to do so if we use our phone in literally any capacity (video call, slack, teams, emails etc). How prevalent is the issue of not reimbursing phone dues?

Does anybody else think that the Wharton Slack & Discord groups are kinda quiet/inactive compared to admit groups from other schools?

How are you teaching middle or high school chorus in the fully virtual realm? I’m looking for new ideas and techniques. I hate that my choirs can only sing on Zoom with everyone muted...that’s the opposite of choral singing :-(

I got offer Letter from infosys 2.5 months back, now when I am trying to decline the offer by sending a mail to HR, it was not getting delivered as HR left the organisation 1 month back, I forwarded mail to feedback team of infosys but still got the mail from onboarding team with joining details and WebEx link, kindly suggest how to proceed in this case.

Came back to school in August with a cruise ship still sitting on my stage. We walked away from Anything Goes the day after the sitzprobe because of the quarantine. Still taking the wind out of my sails.

We are here now, but not able to stage shows. Logic says, "Do a radio show!" Just not sure I want to subject the kids to the emptiness of that performance style given the Zoom life they've been living. The production of it could be fun though.

Has anyone gone through the Breeze Airways panel to interview? Can you give me some insight? Is it a panel of several interviewers asking me questions OR several candidates being interviewed at the same time? It's being held on Microsoft teams but they have been very vague about the specifics. @breeze airways

A female friend of mine recently received a settlement in a sexual harassment action against her employer during mediation. Upon receiving her (female) attorney’s final bill she was blown away to discover that her attorney charged her almost five times what the attorney estimated she would charge for the mediation. I was recently offered a Zoom interview. The school had 10 interview slots for me to choose from. Three were one day this week and the rest are next week. I chose the first time slot available. Should I have waited until one of the last slots so I was fresher on their mind when choosing a candidate? I am just sitting here stressing out until I here something. Also, do interviewers still appreciate a hand written thank you for the interview?
