My sister-in-law has been with Home Depot for about 8 years now and I've never heard any complaints. And trust me, if she didn't like it, I definitely would have heard about it by now 🤣
I worked at Home Depot in college and I would never recommend it! In my personal experience, there was a lot of toxicity that went completely unchecked. Even though I worked in the store itself, I heard that the toxicity was also present in the corporate culture. That's just my own personal experience though, and it's been about 10 years, so things could be different now.
I interned there during my undergrad and thought that it was super friendly and great work life balance! However, it is such a big company that the lifestyle is pretty team-dependent.
Just from looking online looks like the culture is supportive and results-driven. People are proactive and engaged and it's very professional. It is a big company, so it's not as "close-knit." Salary depends on role but its usually competitive and great benefits. (healthcare, 401k, bonuses)
The culture at corporate is good. The rating that Home Depot has on Glassdoor is 100% accurate to me. Better than average but not fabulous. Pay is competitive and managers tend to be supportive—at least in my experience. It’s not a bad place to work.
Can't speak to their corporate, but I worked as a Sales Specialist mainly selling appliances between '17-'19. For the most part I really enjoyed it. The only thing that bothered me was raises were set no matter if you were an 'A' employee or 'C' employee.
