I have 15+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud, and Platform Engineering.

Working @ RGA100+ hour weeks without knowing if or what the $ will be. How is this legal?

“your weekly rate covers your salary for the full week. Our general work schedule at R/GA is Monday through Friday, however, all salaried freelancers are eligible for a discretionary bonus which factors in extraordinary time you bill to jobs outside of our general work schedule as well as your overall performance. This discretionary bonus would be paid out on a monthly basis and is not guaranteed.”

Which one should I go for?

1. Oracle - 18.3 LPA fixed + probable bonus (I may or may not get)
2. Amadeus - 18 fixed + 1.5 variable.

Amadeus is also giving joining bonus of 75k. Amadeus is paying more, may give better hikes too, but I am finding it hard to let go off Oracle's brand name on my resume even if it's means around 2L less over an year. I am planning to work for atleast 3 years in my next company.

What would you have done in my place? Should I go for Oracle or Amadeus?

I’ve been depressed for years now and this past week I lost a dog I’ve had for 15 years; he was one of the only bright spots in my life and I’ve just found it so hard to focus or motivate myself on anything after this. I genuinely feel like I’m at rock bottom, Idk if I’m crazy to feel that way bc of a dog but I used to be able to control this and put up a front but now my depression and anxiety are starting to leak into my work conversations completely unintentionally, I wish this would stop :(

I have to support my family financially. Usually my mom cooks for the family so groceries only cost $1200/month.
