I am currently looking for opportunities in Technical / Product Support Engineer/L2 support

I have 5.3 years of IT experience, including 4.1 years as a Product Support Engineer at Exotel and 1.2 years as an Associate Consultant at Infosys. My skills include Linux, SQL, APIs, AWS, Azure, troubleshooting, incident management, and customer support.

I am an m&a junior at a firm that is generally considered a lifestyle firm (pay below market but target hours are lower unless pushing for partner). Over the pandemic period, we have had so many senior associates and paralegals leave that there is no one to ask questions to and I’m doing paralegal work (we are all in survival mode). I’m not convinced the partners in my team (who are aware of the problem but cannot convince management) can recruit people to replace given we pay below market.

I want to buy a large TV for Cyber Monday but have always been lower income. I would feel bad having family over with an expensive TV. I don't really need it. Our house is still very much low budget. I haven't made any real upgrades since getting a new job.

Is this a weird rationalization or logical? I am kind of torn so I considered just using that money for a vacation and maybe buying a TV next year... though I'll likely do this again at that time.
