I graduated in 2025 july and am currently working as a PR consultant for an agency for the last one year. I am looking to shift into a non-tech operations role, preferably in retail tech or GCCs like Target Lowe's Saks, etc.

In an upward trajectory after getting over a bad breakup last year. I’m in an excellent place by all accounts, soaring professionally, and got an excellent job lined up as the next step. Even though I started dating again, I have zero motivation to commit. The mental peace that I’ve gained is so great, I’d rather be alone and just focus on me.

I joined a company yesterday. I got another offer the next day from a very good company.
The joined company has not shipped the laptop yet. Just onboarding calls are over. Can I abscond and join with a new offer? What are your suggestions? I really want to join a new offer as it's a good company.

I’ve been approached my by company that one of our large clients (who im currently project managing for) is looking for a consultant of sorts, and if they hire us, I’d be the first person asked to take on this consultant role. This isn’t something my company typically offers and would greatly change the scope of my role. Has anyone ever taken on a role like this? If so, were you able to negotiate a percentage of the consulting fee? Or was it a bump in salary during the project?

IMO I’ve never seen more pharma jobs open. And I keep seeing so many people in non-pharma looking for new jobs... well, we’ve got them. What’s the disconnect? Why do you think people won’t make the switch?

Recent laterals - have you been integrating well into your new teams? I lateraled into a V20 corporate group a month ago but still feel like I’m just existing at this point. I’m a first yr in NYC biglaw (2nd yr in Fall) — is 3.2k for one bedroom in BK (think downtown BK, carroll garden, Williamsburg) too much? Always have lived in manhattan so I’m not sure what reasonable rent for one bedroom in BK is.
