Hi Nalini. First of all, did you apply for any roles at the company and have you gone through an interview process? If the answer is yes, then it possibly isn't a scam. You can also review the company website and reviews on websites like GlassDoor, LinkedIn and the company's social media activity. Additionally, you can also check public on governmental websites like a public company registry for company activities over the years. The latter should give you a good sense of the company's legitimacy. I hope this helps.
Company profile looks legit. If you're getting email with company domain in the sender email then I guess that's okay. There won't be any harm giving your account IBAN. If you're still suspicious then reach out to any official from their website and clear your doubts.
Be very very careful. I have had "recruiters" reach out to me representing legit companies, and even using the real name and photos of an existing employee for the company. Yet if you email the actual company directly, they will tell you that that employee has never been in contact with you and it's just someone pretending to get your information. There are so many employment scams out there right now, and so many look very legit.
Have you had a phone call with anyone at all? Or a meeting where you saw the other persons face?
Nobody is hiring via teams chat conversations only.
Nope, it was a chat interview.
If you've had minimal contact and that led to you being hired, it sounds peculiar. I'd be very cautious. It's possible they're setting you up for the fake check scam, or another scam where you'll wind up losing money. Be careful.
Did you find any of your interviewers on LinkedIn? Do they have Intepros listed on their profile, and is it linked directly to the company's official LinkedIn page?
However, I encountered several red flags that made me suspect it might be a scam:
The offer letter I received had my name missing.
I was asked to provide sensitive information, including my bank details and other personal documents.
The email came from an HR address, rosie@intepros.team, which raised concerns.
The interview was conducted via live chat on Teams.
The HR representative’s LinkedIn profile seemed suspicious.
I would advise exercising caution if you receive similar communications from this company. It’s important to verify the legitimacy of any job offers and be cautious about sharing personal information
