My DOJ at Deloitte USI is 1 June 2026. In the Deloitte portal, my status changed from “Background Verification” to “Offer Accepted,” and I also received the relocation survey email. However, HR is still saying BGV/FADV is pending. I have not received any joining details, onboarding mail, or office reporting information yet. Is this normal before DOJ? Can anyone guide me on how to check the actual FADV status?

Hey All,
I finished a third round interview, and HR contacted me that afternoon saying I had positive feedback across the board and they would contact me the next day regarding next steps. It’s been two days and they finally get back to me saying they haven’t been able to sync with the hiring manager but will keep me posted. Honestly I wish they would talk with the hiring manager and then let me know the decision instead of checking in. It’s messing with my emotions.

Anyone here wash out of biglaw before making it a full year? How’d it work out/where’d you end up? I’m almost six months in and I’m starting to think I’m just not built for this.

I have an offer for $130k for a senior attorney position in a boutique L&E firm. Also have a recruiter who thinks she can get me into another for $150-170k. Both are more than I’ve ever made (Denver, 17 yrs of experience but completely different practice areas). Any tips for countering the $130k offer for more using the other potential offer while not risking a complete withdrawal of the current offer? I’ve never been in a position to bargain my starting salary so this is all very new to me.

I’m asking to get my notice period waived. I have a 30 day notice period per the employment agreement I signed, but it says they can waive it at any time after I gave notice. Im not going to a competitor or even the same industry. How likely is for my current firm to allow this?
