Quick question for those who are/were working from Canada onsite.

If we plan to visit India for ~3–4 weeks to meet parents, is it allowed to work remotely from India during that period (i.e., in night shift), officially or unofficially?

How do people usually handle this situation — do companies allow short-term remote work from India, or is leave typically the only option?

Would really appreciate guidance or experiences from those who have navigated this. Thanks in advance!

I have family members who are inside claims reps for a large company. The company sends out emails 4 times/day showing who is currently not available for calls. To everyone working in claims in the entire country! It’s been a minute since I worked in claims. And never for this particular company. But is this shaming the new way to manage WFH.? Sounds at least toxic.

HR opinion: Do I have any leverage as a hospital nurse case manager in negotiating earned time? I have 15 years within the organization, left for 10 months to be remote during the pandemic while sorting out childcare as immunocompromised family helped. Now HR is restarting my ET as a new employee. I realize I left, but not on bad terms and I am an exemplar and respected employee.
