Hoping to get in touch with #Peraton recruiter! I have about 9 months left in Air Force where I work in cyber defense and vulnerability management, have a BA in cybersecurity, sitting for CISSP and have lots of certs. Would love to chat with someone about opportunities. Hold a clearance and could technically start in 7 months. Any help is appreciated!! Thank you.
Currently a Solutions Consultant at Pegasystems.
I am interviewing at and considering making a jump to Oracle as a Specialist Solutions Consultant.
The reason for my move is currently at Pega SCs are treated more as AEs or Account Managers. The role at Oracle would be more of a true SC position. I also feel that Oracle will look BETTER on a resume and someone as young as me would have BETTER programs in place to train me and give me the foundation needed to be a successful SC.
Thoughts?

Given your Finance background, you might want to focus your job search to FinTech firms whose job ads explicitly say they provide training for entry level Sales Development Representatives/SDRs, Business Development Reoresentatives/BDRs, Sales Account Executives (SAEs/AEs) - with their job ads also mentioning that they provide training/mentoring under a senior SDR/BDR/AE or Sales Mgr to ramp you up for their specific sales workflows.
These kind of FinTech firms might even prioritize hiring people w/ certain Finance industry licenses so that when their FinTech is being sold, they know that licensed, reasonably experienced Finance people may be more likely to buy from someone who knows their lingo/jargon compared to random Sales generalists. So, if you already have a Finance professional license and it is something that FinTech prefers its team members to have, mention it;)
Good companies also tend to issue online assessment tests for your computational skills, personality, etc. so they have a measurable baseline beyond subjective resumes, referrals, etc. to go by in figuring out whether or not your learning/work style truly would be compatible with their company culture and Sales cycles.
There are also Free Skills Certification courses you can take in Inbound Marketing, such as with HubSpot Academy:
https://academy.hubspot.com
As what you also saw w/ what the other posters Microsoft 1 said, dominant Sales and Marketing CRM brands offer free, self-paced online courses to maintain their long-term adoption across all stages of a technology sales professional's life, from novice to expert.
Lastly, as much as possible I would not encourage people to pay out of pocket/borrow money for/get into an Income Share Agreement for certified sales training, since in the most ideal setting, an employer or a big name CRM firm w/ its own free online certification camps should fill those gaps.
However, if you do have the funds to get into well-reviewed boot camps that do have positive placement/employment rates, you may want to check out the reviews for Tech Sales boot camps on CourseReport.com or CareerKarma.com.
Hope these insights help and best wishes on your career shift, OP!

I think he has an opportunity to make a case on how he was able to scale revenue in portfolio
My company hires remotely for Associate SDRs, no experience needed. Right now we don't have the role open but DM me and I'll send you the careers page so you can keep an eye out
Agree with the others about learning MS Dynamics and/or Salesforce and look for titles that are BDR/SDR - there are some companies that train people in this area - I can't think of them off the top of my head but it may be a worthwhile investment if you're looking to change careers
I mean this in the most respectful way, no one in tech sales is interested in your derivatives portfolio management experience. Do you think smart people work in sales??!! jk
