Hi Everyone - so my PERM was filed in Mar’23 and my H1B max out is in Dec’23. Looking at DOL processing, it’s unlikely my PERM will be approved by then. So those who have gone through a similar situation, when you took a leave of absence and left US - did you close/sell everything? Or I guess how did you plan leaving US? I am unsure of what I should do (i.e with the appt & car lease and all the stuff) when I have to leave.. I am likely overthinking, but any advice, so that I can plan ahead? 🙏🏻

I have got my L2 Dependent Visa stamped for the US through the Wife's organization and she has booked the tickets for the both of us in the next weekend. I am currently unallocated in TCS and seeking projects in the same US location as my Wife. Can I travel to the US just like that and then continue my search within TCS from there or do I need any approvals to even fly in the first place?

This one is for folks on h1b visa. So at time when you have an offer in hand(not accepted the offer yet and h1b transfer process not yet begun) while you are working with your current employer, do you even speak to your employer about your new offer to see if they make a counter offer?
Is there a risk involved with this approach assuming your current employer doesn't provide you with a counter offer and they ask you to leave immediately (and your h1b visa hasn't been transferred either)

So, recently got put on a PIP after six months at my new job., two days after I told my boss and HR I recently learned I have a cognitive disability caused by an illness. BAL is taking its own sweet time to file my H1B transfer. My LCA was approved on Dec 30. They have all the documents needed to file and give me an update every week saying they will be filing it shortly. Any of you folks experiencing the same ?
