Hi everyone. We moved to Norway as my partner got a job here. I continue working remote for a consultancy in UK. I want to find a job as a Data Engineer/ Senior Data Engineer in Oslo, preferably not consulting.

I'm currently on 900k NOK (UK salary to NOK). Do I have a chance of finding a similar-paid position? Schibsted looks very attractive as a company, Glassdoor doesn't show DE salaries.

Skills: SQL, Python, Airflow, dbt, Snowflake (databricks), data modelling. Learning Scala atm.

I work as an AGM in a busy restaurant. Been working there for just over a year, and haven't had a single raise. I now only make 0.50 cents more than even the lowest paid shift lead but I am doing a lot more work. I'm no longer satisfied with these conditions. Should I try to negotiate a raise or look for other opportunities?

Plan is to purchase some time after 2 years or so. Primarily to save up for a larger down payment.
