Just got a job at Deloitte M&A in Atlanta and am currently looking to buy a house. Would you advise I buy closer to Atlanta or the suburbs? I personally want to be in the suburbs but I hear the traffic situation is quite bad. Current consultants in Atlanta, how much time do you actually spend in the office vs remote vs client site? Would you advise I try and stay closer to the office?

I've been contacted by a recruiter from PwC about roles in their new "PwC Cloud Practice".
Does anyone have any info on this new practice and how it differs to mainline PwC?
I know a lot of Management Consultancies set up their Tech Subsidiaries like a poor relative with sub par expenses and compensation policies etc. Don't know if this is the case here?

What’s your income? I have more than that saved in the Burbs of Boston and still feel stretched thin. 😞
I have a condo in Burly I want to sell when I buy if you’re interested.. well under 500k 👀
What’s your HHI?
awesome… sounds like a great plan
looks very similar to our situation. currently aiming to have $50k cash by the end of the year. goal will be between $120k-$150k by the end of 2023. I expect we won’t be buying until the latter half of 2024 at the earliest, 2025 more likely. expect to be looking in the $1M+ range with a down payment between $200k-$300k. NYC currently, but good chance we end up moving back to Florida to be near family, which would be nice to have our range go a fair bit further.

I heard Florida home prices have sky rocketed tremendously. But with $1M+ budget, you’ll definitely get a better bang for your buck down there than up here. I’m from Texas so I know how vast the difference is even looking at a $750K home in Boston than in Dallas.
