I’m in a rather peculiar situation. Hi! I requested a raise in late august and am still waiting on confirmation. Last update was 3 weeks ago from my boss who said he put in the request and is still waiting on approval. I can’t help but think they’re just delaying until the new quarter which is the normal raise period. Is a month and a half a long time to be waiting for this? And if it is approved is it reasonable for me to ask for “backdated pay” to when I originally asked?

Is the learning curve from FDD to restructuring pretty big? Thinking about switching since the FDD job market is dry and I’m seeing a lot of restructuring positions. Also curious about the WLB, is it similar to FDD?
