Hi all, Seeking for an advice. I am having total experience of 2.3 years in Infosys. I have put my resignation in April. There was rotating onsite in my project. I am having an offer of more than 150 percent hike in from one of the leading bank. My manager told me and also confirmed that he will give me onsite in upcoming November. Not sure if it will be 3 months or 6 months(most probably).. Seeking advice ,should I go ahead with the offer in hand or stay back in Infosys

You can be a Java developer or if you're interested in automation. Do try your hands on RPA.
Hope this helps :)
Thank you so much for your advice.
You have just 1 year of experience, it should be cake walk for you to switch to dev role. Just change your project or company. Don't delay
Yeah Currently working on learning more on java and then apply for some dev pos. Thank you for your thoughts

Why switch. Continue on test automation. Selenium is the most hot property in DevOps scene right now. Good Automation testers are hard to come by.
Yeah Automation is great and I like it but I have always wanted to be a dev. Also can you please explain how I can use automation(as a tester) in devops.
Automation had lot of scope especially RPA. If you really want to switch to Dev role then it won't be difficult for you. If you want to be a Dev coz someone else is suggesting then don't even think of moving our of automation. It's very hot in the market if you have right exposure.
Its good that you know what you want. That's a good sign.
Try to get a release and see if you can find good dev project. If not, it would be very easy for you find a job outside as you know java already. Good luck
