I wanted to share my experience with AI in software development. I’m an SSE, and my company now expects developers to generate 100% of their code using AI through spec-driven development. Even with clear specs, I often find AI-generated code hard to understand. It makes unnecessary assumptions, adds code that isn’t needed, and sometimes even fabricates things, I haven’t written code in the past 6 mon, How is AI being used in your organization? Please keep the discussion professional.

If there were no practical obstacles whatsoever, what area(s) of law OTHER than your current practice area would you want to explore, and why?

I’ve been so specialized for so long I’m not even sure how to answer this question for myself. Once upon a time I was somewhat interested in tax but I’m worried that’s where fun goes to die. I kinda dig admin law, although that’s cheating a bit because I work with a federal agency.

Joined LTI recently in P3 band. However not allocated any project. Got a call from the resource management team to relocate, which I rejected upfront as I was promised a role in the location I am posted. It has been over 2 weeks since I am in bench. Have worked in web dev domain for the last 2.3 years with the last 1.5 years in React/Fullstack tech stack. Worked at 3 companies since 2019 till now, all with less than 20 overall people in each company (small companies). Want to switch to a big company with more people and diverse teams. Was advised to switch to data domain for long-term growth and progress. Please advise if choosing data engineering is a wise choice.
