I want to move into cyber security field I have 4 years of total experience. I also have 2 years of experience in IPSec , firewall . Can I transition into cyber security without any certification

I'm 6 months old at D! Planning early promotion next year.. counselor and pm both are backing me.. I need to go to India for at least 4 weeks in Dec ... most probably would be rolling off from current project by then .. would this vacation hurt my promotion chances coz of utilization etc?
