You should hear back within a week. If you haven’t heard back within 2 weeks you should reach out

That’s going to be team dependent - there is nothing to lose from following up. My experience is that if a team is not good at communicating and keeping you updated throughout the interview process, it’s not a team worth being a part of

Took them 4 weeks to get back to me

When they got back to you, was it an offer or saying they offered it to someone else?

It can take weeks..

Why do many associates at top tier firms stay to make Partner when they can go in-house in tech and make around the same, even long term? For example, you can make near 400-550k in-house at Google, Netflix, FB with 8-10 years of exp. More senior than that in-house, it can easily break $1M.

Hi
Applied for a position in Johnson and Johnson Canada. Reached the final round 3 weeks back. After not getting any updates I emailed the HR a couple of weeks back. They responded back telling me that they’ll have an update for me the next week. Again I emailed them on Thursday asking if they have anything for me before the long weekend ( Good Friday & Easter). No response whatsoever. Will emailing them again be inappropriate? I desperately need this job
