How often were you communicating before you hooked up? Daily or every couple of days? Had you only been on the one date and then went over to his place as your second meeting? If so, then he most likely saw this as an easy opportunity to get some, and will most likely not pursue anything further.
That being said, I don't see a problem sending out a generic text asking how his weekend was or something similar, but if he's giving you short answers and not asking any reciprocating questions to keep the convo going, cut your loss and move on.

Don’t text him. Let him come to you. It’s just the way men are
Yeah. This is BS. Not all men are wired this way. Communication is key. Say how you feel. If the person you’re interacting with can’t get on that page then ‘doing’ what you’d expect most men to react positively to is disrespecting yourself and humanity as a whole.

Did you not exchange any texts after you left his place the last time?
Back off
Don’t text him. Just continue living your life. If he wants to be a part of it, he can let you know (I’m assuming he has a phone and fingers to text with and a larynx to speak with).
