Hi I have been working remotely for 7.5 years as a remote Customer service representative and want to change fields. I want to get into human resources as a recruiter or admin. Currently I have some college education and going to school for a Certification in Human resources. Any tips or advice on how to break into the industry without a degree?😊

I'm sure your certification will help, but I would also suggest an internship if you can. Or maybe go to your current employer and ask to take on some human resource responsibilities, like helping train or bring on new employees.

Wow that's a good idea! 😁 I was actually thinking about doing that but a little nervous they will say "NO".

You’re already on the right track with that HR certification. Focus on highlighting your customer service skills—like communication and problem-solving—they’re gold in HR. Networking and internships can open doors too. Have you tried connecting with recruiters on LinkedIn yet?

Thank you for your insight ☺️ I will first ask my job if I can shadow someone in HR possibly. If that doesn't work then I will definitely try LinkedIn and look for internships. That's a good idea 💡.

Hi All, I need some career guidance.

7+ YOE - 3 in tech support role (after BE) and 4+ in BA & PM role (after MBA). Worked on RPA and process improvement projects for 2 yrs. Currently working on internal tool implementation projects - PMO, UAT, change strategy, etc.

I want to switch to a product company in a PM/TPM role, and I am planning to learn something new which has a great future scope, pays well, and aligns with my profile. Any recommendation would really help me take a right call.

I'm the hiring mgr for designers in my org. I recently discovered pay band information given to me by the HR generalist I'm working with on hiring was outdated and updated bands had been released over the summer (prior to my hire date). The outdated information had led me to believe a prime candidate was out of range. Aside from incompetence, can anyone think of a reason why HR might have withheld information about the pay bands? I assume mgrs see the full monty when it comes to pay...right?

Back when I was getting started in the food world, I worked flipping burgers at In-n-Out. A man came in and said the burgers he had gotten weren’t right. He dumped the food on the counter and then he started throwing them back behind the counter. We gave him a refund and then his demeanor completely changed. He was calmer and he told us to have a great day as he left us to clean up the mess he made.
