I am so embarrassed to admit that after passing the assessment and being contacted by a recruiter for an interview on Monday I noticed that there were two small typos on my resume. I updated the resume and uploaded itto my employee profile on the Google Jobs website, but I’m wondering if I should proactively tell the recruiter that I would like for her to use a newer version of my resume?

I work at a ‘free market’ firm and have developed a very good reputation among partners. Naturally, they are drowning me in work. Each time a new case comes up, the partner will email asking if I have “time and interest” in helping. When I’m at capacity, I take these words at face value and explain why I can’t do it, and that seems to work out ok with no hard feelings. But what’s the “interest” thing? If I don’t want to work on a toxic tort case, do I just say that and pass?

LinkedIn is a garbage app where I can’t even post my opinion or experience because it will go against the mainstream ideologies. If I even “like” a post then I worry that my peers and managers see what I like and suddenly I need inclusivity training. What a load of shit! Advice needed on handing in notice, I recently signed an offer letter and understand the screening process takes 4-6 weeks. I have a month's notice period and have agreed a preliminary start date in Feb.

I was planning on not handing my notice in until the checks had been completed so its all secured (not that I think I will fail any checks), but apparently I need a reference from my current employer not previous ones. Can't really do this without handing in notice can I?

Just found out that end of the year I will be promoted from analyst directly to VP and since it’s such a large jump I’ll be the lowest paid VP in asset management at only $135k TC. Should I stay it out and wait for TC to align or take the promotion and jump ship bc I will likely get paid more elsewhere given how recruiters/other companies eat up hiring recently promoted ppl from other firms?

Getting paid 85k base with 40k in bonus plus about 35k~ in OT.

Money isn’t everything but in my late 20s it feels like the only thing important right now.

WLB is next to zero as 60hr weeks are the minimum as of late. Management feels like they are trying to push a few of us out. Was told not to expect much come year end for comp. Any suggestions on finding a new role/pay expectations?
