Good suggestion. Instead of letting your resume be the only thing they have to judge you on, you can show your dedication and personality in person
I am based in the US, but I personally think the same applies everywhere. My son, who is now 19, got his first job at 15 then his second at 16. By walking in and asking to speak with the manager. In this digital age, a lot of managers appreciate the effort applicants put in when they do more than fill out an application online.

At 17, a lot of it is just showing that you’re reliable, available, and worth taking a chance on. I’d make the CV less general by adding anything that shows responsibility, even school activities, volunteering, punctuality, teamwork, or helping customers during work experience. For first jobs, attitude and presentation often matter as much as experience.
