I am an m&a junior at a firm that is generally considered a lifestyle firm (pay below market but target hours are lower unless pushing for partner). Over the pandemic period, we have had so many senior associates and paralegals leave that there is no one to ask questions to and I’m doing paralegal work (we are all in survival mode). Try to get a NEP/counsel position at another firm, which is likely difficult in my market, or offer to take a class cut by a few years?
