Hi! Quick update about where we are with the job market.

I'm currently freelancing (12+ years of experience overall), but decided to apply for a role to test the waters and received word the org I applied to was interested in interviewing me.

Long story short: Went through 5 rounds of interviews for a an in-office Senior Social Manager role (asking for 4-5 years experience)...at $75k...only to be denied the role. 🙃🙃🙃

In the beginning of the month I started working at a new place for a promising client, but realized the team is absolutely disorganized and no one is willing to do much. I haven’t gotten onboarding from my team and no one takes notes... is it bad to start looking again?

The company I am working for wasn’t what I saw when I started. I made a mistake being a manager. I feel run down and will late in the night making sure things are in order just to be told all the things I’m doing wrong. The location I work for in this company has had managers that had nervous breakdowns and I’m afraid I’m heading that direction.

I used to work from home. I got a new job that requires me to go into the office. I love the job and the people I work with. There’s great energy and opportunities. But, the drive to the new job takes over an hour, and traffic is nuts. What are some tricks or tips to keep your sanity when driving to work? I hate traffic and it feels like such a waste of time. I listen to lots of podcasts, but I’m starting to get very bored of them. What do you all do?

What software does your firm use and how do you like it? CRM, scheduling, virtual Meetings, Client Portal, consolidated statements, etc.
