I started working as a consultant with EY 8 months ago. Even though I'm content and learning a lot there, I think there are places where I might easily earn more money. Should I accept it? Or would leaving EY that early not be wise?

Just say NO, Sorry your skills are not a match, don't ignore. You were also candidates once.

My question is:

When it comes time to talk compensation, should I base the market rate for the role on my city of residence or NY?

Would it make sense to ask them directly how they determine comp for NY-bases vs. other city-based employees?
