What are your thoughts about someone willing to pursue SAP consulting as a career ? Oracle and SAP are standard ERP systems in Fortune/Big companies so even if one joins and learns in 2-3 yrs what are the growth opportunities in SAP ? I do recognize that there are a lot of advanced planning systems out there but in reality is it fair to assume that one can easily plateau off in 5 yrs from a career progression standpoint?SAP Oracle o9 Solutions Blue Yonder Kinaxis Inc.

I want to say both. Firstly get a niche skill that will make you go from Consultant to a SDM role. Youâll learn to manage people and lead large engagements in your niche. After stabilizing in this role, focus on the shifts, learn things and get experiences while focusing on your niche. This will allow you to understand different technologies and possibly allow you to move to a Tech Delivery Lead role which will allow you to own large and multiple engagements. This is the point where you start getting in your numbers. Partners bring in around $20-50M yearly. If you want to be to be crème de la crème, focus on getting experience on managing other Services like Infra, Apps, SI etc. etc.
Thanks for your detailed explanation and hopeđ
