Heard Milbank just raised salaries. 10k more a year for first through third years and 15k more a year for fourth years and higher.

My employer isn’t safe harbor and we fail the nondiscrimination testing for 401K each year which results in me getting back roughly 9K of the $19.5K max. I generally end up putting the refund disbursement into my brokerage account. Given that I can only historically contribute $10K to 401K, what would others recommend I do with the $9/9.5K difference other than putting it in a non-tax advantage brokerage account? I already do a backdoor Roth IRA and HSA. Do I have any other options?

I’ve been waiting for security clearance since July and just found out I’m pregnant after trying for a year. I’m hoping clearance will be granted in early spring 2021 and I can start work soon after. Thankfully taking unpaid time off isn’t a big issue (won’t be eligible for FMLA or parental leave), but worried about timing and telling HR & my supervisor. The market value for the business as at 2019 in W. Africa was $130 Billion and it is expected to grow to $205 Billion by 2024. The business plans to capture at least 40% of the market by 2024
