Hi team. I received my offer from Amazon and signed my contract a few weeks ago. I also resigned from my current company after agreeing on a starting date mid-January. Seeing the news of the hiring freeze worries me though - do we know if this applies to roles where offers have been extended? Could they retract an offer after I signed a contract? Not sure what are my rights. Let me know if you have any tips/knowledge to share!

If a firm has multiple openings that you’re interested in, is it a good or bad idea to apply to more than one position? I’m a third year interested in retooling from lit to general corp, but they prefer someone with 3+ years of corporate experience. They’re also looking for an M&A with 1+ years, so it may be easier to aim for that, but I’ve heard horror stories re WLB for M&A. I don’t know the level but was aiming £80k base, +15% bonus. If I don’t fall under their budget, would I automatically be removed from candidates?

Cash Payments:

RSU: 500 shares (Y1: 25 Shares, Y2: 75 Shares, Y3: 200, Y4: 200)

Keen to get feedback. Feel that the base salary was too low but from my conversation with the recruiter there might be wiggle room on the cash payments potentially. What are your thoughts? Any tips appreciated!
