Hi (to be) parents! I am confused with vaccine schedule. Our 15mth old should receive his 15mth vaccination which should be 4th dose dtap and hib based on cdc. However, as he received pentacel (combination of dtap, hib and polio) for his first 3doses, dr said its best to give him pentacel for 4th dose as well to keep it same. But thats contining polio (which 4th dose should be recived from 4-6 years old)…. I feel like i am informed enough and not using information properly.. continuing in commen

So I had my NIPT and NT scans last week and I’ve been getting pieces of the results back from my doctor in the patient portal. All seems okay but I’m a bit confused. Does anyone know if FirstScreen is the same thing as NIPT? I was under the impression that NIPT was in 90th percent of certainty for Down syndrome but the result we got, labeled FirstScreen indicate 83% certainty so I’m confused if there are more results coming? I messaged the doctor but haven’t heard back yet.

Trigger: rare illness post birth

Just sharing that I was diagnosed with postpartum preeclampsia 3 days after giving birth despite not having risk factors or preeclampsia in my pregnancy. Sharing as I had absolutely no idea about this illness.

Main things to do are check your BP everyday at least the first ten days after you give birth, and go to hospital if it's very high (over 160/110). If you get severe headache or stomach ache then also be vigilant.

Received my first prenatal massage at 19 weeks today and the therapist was trained and did a bit of myofascial stretching techniques. Never touched my stomach. Just lower back, arms, legs and feet. I have had cramps in my abdominal area since a few hours after the massage. Not sure if it’s cramps or stretching pains. Drinking a ton of water to flush out toxins, but is this pain normal?

When does morning sickness begin? With my first I started getting really nauseous around 6 weeks? I’m now approaching 8 and not really feeling much. Kind of nervous I’m losing the baby :(
