How are you guys handling your mental health with job rejections or not getting interviews? I’m trying to stay optimistic but it’s soul crushing to see people you know get better jobs when you have been on the job hunt for awhile. I’ve suffered from workaholism for a long time. Thanks to a lot of great self help books and therapy, I’m no longer putting work on a pedestal and I’m spending a lot more time on self care and my marriage. How did you tell your manager you’re pregnant? Did it affect pay/promos? And then, subsequently, how did you start letting colleagues know you’re pregnant? Feels awkward to just randomly drop the news in a meeting! I work remotely so it’s hard to tell by video :) I’m 21 weeks and feel like I’ve waited as long as I can to at least notify my manager. I was waiting to negotiate my salary for next year but per company trend that doesn’t get set until January (manager reviews are written in Dec).

Just sharing that I was diagnosed with postpartum preeclampsia 3 days after giving birth despite not having risk factors or preeclampsia in my pregnancy. Sharing as I had absolutely no idea about this illness.

Main things to do are check your BP everyday at least the first ten days after you give birth, and go to hospital if it's very high (over 160/110). If you get severe headache or stomach ache then also be vigilant.

So I’m in my second trimester. Everything has come back normal and great. Anatomy scan went beautifully. Now I’m getting cramps really low in my left side that I would say are like a 6-7 on pain scale and they’re like every few minutes. I don’t think they’re Braxton hicks it feels more like period cramps I’ve experienced before. Anyone else experience this? Is it normal? Can I take something for the pain?

Would you recommend the CVS test? I dont think I want to get it done due to the risks.
