I got my first two shots during my pregnancy (second trimester) and highly recommend getting them as soon as you can to protect you and baby. My baby is now here and healthy as can be, and I’m grateful I took the chance and got the vaccine when I did. Antibodies are great while the baby is in the womb but if you plan on breastfeeding, you baby will continue to receive these antibodies outside of the womb so either is beneficial
Thanks everyone! I will get my booster this weekend. I’m 34 w long so wasn’t sure but I guess it makes sense to take it from the baby’s point of view.
I got it, I’m not quite third trimester (25 weeks). My doctor said not to wait and get it right away, I was thinking of waiting so I can have a better chance of passing antibodies
Got it in my third trimester and got the same guidance to get it right away to protect myself from the variants
I got both shots during my third trimester. All studies point to baby then being born with some level of antibodies which is amazing since they won’t be able to get the vaccine for awhile. I’ll take any protection for babe that I can get!
A few of my friends have!
Getting it next week
My OB asked me to wait until like 30 weeks
I just got mine. 27 weeks now.
I was confused too! OBGYN suggested getting it now and talking to a few friends and family who work in hospitals, it seemed like doing it while pregnant would be better than doing it later. So I just did it. It wasn't as bad as I was thinking it would be. Just some body ache and low grade fever after 12 hours and I was good within 24 hours from when I got the vaccine
Getting mine today and I am 25 weeks! OB said to get it when I can.
I got Moderna back in April. Contracted Covid early October at 12 weeks. Saw doc, she recommended I still get booster in the coming weeks.
I'm getting my booster this week. I'm in my 24th week
