Having no horse in the race, it’s Deloitte.
None. Run away. Far away.
You can ignore my comment if you want. That’s fine. But know I have 6 years under my belt and have spoken with people from all 4 of the big 4 firms. SC1 is an exception it sounds like. The general population from what I’ve heard and experienced is tired, burnt out, overworked, understaffed and tired of the unrealistic expectations.
I’m a firm believer in consulting is what you make it. I’ve tried very hard to keep my boundaries because I know that’s what I need for my mental health to remain in a good place. I know I have a better wlb than my coworkers because I make it happen. It did take me longer to get promoted. And I do feel like some higher ups don’t appreciate that I am not all gung-ho on getting the next promo right away. A lot of things go against my personal beliefs and I don’t appreciate how things are run most of the time. That is why I said run. This is just my perspective, take it as you will. It’s exhausting. Can be very toxic. But some places you may have more autonomy than others to make it what you want.
Unless you plan on sticking in consulting, which ever company actually sells the work you are interested in and allows you to gain skills AND experience to further your knowledge and career.
Been in 2. It will mostly depend on your partner and direct team rather than anything else Id say. They are very alike. Some like to think they are special but they are not. To the point that you typically find their offices next to each other.

They’re all the same for everyone up to the line partners. Anything past that is purely politics and that’s where it’s different.

Out of McDonald’s, Burger King, Carls Jr, and Wendy’s I’d say McDonalds is the best for employees since they actually own the real estate their offices are located at which means owners can carry more equity for each office they help run.
They are all the same. BCG1 said D, I came from D and now work at EY and make way more at EY. When I tried to boomerang D wouldn’t even match lol
I think you have a point. They all are massive work forces. You can get better teams at any of the companies. The best teams at the worst firm are better than any team not at the 99th percentile of any other firm.
Been at D, EY, & PwC. Would say PwC for me. Left prior to the new leadership though.
That is what I have heard
So much truth
