Hi all! I’m inclined on taking up the CIPM training and certification exam. I’m already a certified Data Protection Officer in the Philippines. I intend on skipping CIPP as it applies to the US and EU.

How difficult was the exam? Can you share your experience studying for the CIPM exam? Is it advisable to skip CIPP?

Currently an engineer in MCOL area with 4 years experience (post graduating, not counting experience before/during college and large side gigs). I have a BS/MS/PhD in engineering and an MBA in business analytics. Currently making 100k as an engineer IV. Case load= malpractice? Small plaintiff’s firm of 25 attorneys. I was a 2 year associate hired and given 50 active files in pre litigation status. 9 mos later a partner quit and I inherited 45 more. I got up to 105 files. Now I hover at 85 active files in varying stages of pre lit. I asked managing partner for help and was told to settle more claims to lessen my load.
