Hold out a week and risk the job you want to apply for getting filled or just apply? I’m hashing out a new spec campaign tailored for this sweet gig and took a minute to find an AD. I can comp it very rough with some headlines.

Do it ASAP, you never know when they’ll close the job

A rough comp will hurt you. I would say omit it. Surely you have some campaigns that showcase stronger writing? With the current level of competition for jobs, any weaknesses in your book can count against you big.

This is great advice. I’d say just apply with what you have

Would rather apply now and just have it to share later on. Never know how long it will be open or for how long they’ll take to get back to you. For every job I’ve seen sitting around for weeks, or almost a month, is a job that is taken off in a day or two.

I'm 4 years into my career, currently I work at one of the largest public advisory firms writing research and taking advisory calls with CIOs/CFOs on strategy around IT Cost Optimization, IT/technology finance, benchmarking, budgeting etc. I enjoy the role but fear not being able to do much with this experience. I fear this due to the fact that I simply talk strategy and roadmaps with no technical experience of having ever done these activities myself.
