Honestly curious. Do associates and partners really make a fuss if you’re not on your firm’s website during a callback interview. I’m wondering if this would actually come up or if I’m over thinking it. Like if you liked me enough to extend an invitation for a call back, should not being on the website be an issue?

Can anyone let me know how easy it is to apply to a consulting firm in Dubai directly coming from London? Do you all write cover letters for job apps (where they require one) like how you would write an ‘our understanding’ section of a proposal to a client? I.e. some soulful understanding of the hiring firm’s place in the universe, reasoning of what their needs are to succeed and put them in a position of greatness etc, and why you are uniquely qualified?

What is the expectation at your firms about coming into work after making your billable hours requirement? Asking especially for those who do not get a bonus per extra hour billed over the minimum.

I'm a junior associate. A couple people have left my small firm and I'm now the lone associate at our main office. I've now been told I am "temporary senior associate or permanent or partner whatever that results in." Please send help. I'm just a baby attorney still.

Second year associate here who recently switched from litigation to corporate law. I am absolutely swamped while simultaneously having no idea what I’m doing ever and I’m feeling so burnt out. The partners are pretty great and feedback is constructive which I’m grateful for, but I’m so desperate for a compliment I’ve been saving any scrap of positivity in a folder 😭 it’s December 22 and I haven’t done my Christmas shopping because I don’t feel capable of thinking about it. I need a hug.

Any thoughts on Legility vs. Relativity in terms of eDiscovery software? Or is there another I’m not aware of?
