We’re not.
I just landed somewhere new, and every interview or reach out came to me because of networking, not a posted job on a platform. I used LinkedIn as a networking tool, expanding my connects and messaging everyone I could to have an ear out for any opps. Just had to be so vocal, so connected and so proactive. As an introvert, it was exhausting. But that’s the results I saw. Best of luck on your journey.
I’m an introverted extrovert - exhausting to network I hate it.
I’ve gotten exactly one screener interview in all my many years applying for jobs on those platforms. I think they’re genuinely useless in and of themselves for job applications. It’s all network, finding ways to get in front of people live.
I’ve gotten interviews through LinkedIn - interviews from jobs I applied to as well as recruiters finding me. It’s substantially less now but in the past -a lot. Landed 2 jobs in the past.

Been looking for a year. Had a few interviews but still haven’t landed anything it’s rough af out here. Some were from LI postings but most were from networking/seeing a LI post and asking a connection to refer me.

Networking. 100%
This is the way. It’s not what you know…
Try to get connected on LI with in-house recruiters from all the major agencies. Then, when they post a role on LI or Indeed, reach out to the recruiter directly. The online application process is a sole-sucking black hole.
