Bad. 5%-10% (closer to 5%) depending on hugeness of the bench in practice/MU
For some people the writing was on the wall while there were many decent performing people pushed out. People who didn't play the popularity contest game well got screwed in the laddering/stack-ranking exercises.
I made the mistake of moving to ACN from Deloitte and I am plotting my way back. If you want to stay in consulting in this crazy market you have to be at a private/partnership - a publicly traded company answers to the stock price, runs its business quarter to quarter and is more prone to knee jerk reactions.

Bro having been at Deloitte they’re equally if not more ruthless during their culling. Just wait a few months.
Don’t you remember 2020? Deloitte laid off more folks than anyone. Even then, it was only like 7%.

I may be optimistic, but I wouldn’t worry about it too much at EY right now. The whole point of the split is growth, and that’s not possible with any significant culling.

Professional services makes up one of the largest growth areas in the labor market. I wouldn’t count on layoffs, since they’re not happening in any meaningful way

Accenture just posted something like 500 new jobs so maybe they’re just getting rid of the bad performers
SM1, here is where VP1 got this from I am guessing. It may explain the graph better. Without the context or units on the y axis it may be confusing. Main point is thats its trending down over the past 4 quarters

If I was on the bench I wouldn’t be waiting for placement within the company. I’d treat it like better paying unemployment and scramble accordingly.
