Hi fishes,
Anyone joined coforge recently? Any reviews for the same? Is it worth to join this organisation? They told me they are hiring for Santander bank account but still be having client interview before onboarding to project. Any idea on this account? Is it tough to crack client interview over there? Don't want to face long bench hours like it used to be in Publicis sapient which led to brutal lay off. Kinda sceptical to join as it is giving me Publicis sapient vibes.Coforge Coforge ltd

Hello All, I have one question. I was a fresher and joined one organization as external employee with third party payroll. I worked as external payroll for 1 year then I became permanent employee of organization was working. When i was a fresher my salary was below tax slab so my external exployer did not generate any form 16 for me. When tried to switch my new organization wants me to submit form 16 as BGC process. Will my offer get reverted?Cognizant Tata Consultancy HCL Technologies Accenture

Yea escalate that ASAP
He needs to back out all his hours first.
Don't do it. I see it as fraud. Hides Engagement economics and sm's faults. Talk to your counselor or project partner.
Never would ask my team to do that, so inappropriate because it just ends up screwing everyone
Pretty sure I know how SOW's work but the processes vary by firm.
Our processis that if you are working without an SOW or it is in limbo, we get approval for a utilized code. This manages utilization and availability. Billable work trumps non-billable work. If you aren't billing you become available for other opportunities.
We can also get approvals for non-chargeable codes to support investment in a client. At Deloitte I worked only once with this code and had another that was used to reserve me for the next phase.
How would there be an issue with the SOW btw? Once it is signed, deliverables, scope and duration should be clear. I've never had an issue with an SOW. I've had it not be signed or be renegotiated to manage scope.
Do what is asked - everyone is struggling with budgets and make sure leadership is aligned and support you in year end
Could you give an example of a good reason for it DD1? I was under the impression that if you're eating hours it's because either the project wasn't planned well or something went massively wrong, and in both cases you're eating hours because someone above you doesn't want their metrics negatively impacted.
You should get a ghost code - talk to counselor.
But yes the planning went wrong and the PPED isn't willing to take it on the chin or get approval to invest
I vehemently disagree with DD1.
Sorry s/he
SMs move their hours before asking the team and they normally bill only 24-27
Each project is unique do not assume your situation is universal- normally they give some later if he is a good SM happened to me many times
Were you booking accurately from the start or booking to budget regardless of completed work?
That sucks! May be OP would have found a better choice if he knew thisn
You guys know nothing about how projects work. There could be an issue with the SOW - happens all the time. U can usually switch back to billable once the matter is settled. If you refuse I'd roll you off that second.
I wish I billed 24-27. I bill 9 hours at each client working at least 20-25 each per weeks
Im agreeing somewhat with D5. Must have over burned. That being said, non billable does not mean no utilization. If you're talking about prd where you don't get utilization, shot an email to your service line lead and resource manager. As a consultant it's your job to find work but not necessarily bring in revenue
How did this workout op?
