How can I transition into a career in data engineering (big data) from cybersecurity? I have 7+ years of experience in IAM cybersecurity and planning to switch into data engineering field. Not sure if this is a wise decision to move completely into a new field considering my year of experience in different field. Will company consider my application for data engineer role if I develop the required skill set and showcase some side projects on my resume?
