Transitioning out of a small business owner role as a manufacturers rep in the foodservice industry and looking to transition into tech sales in or around the Austin area. Family is packing up and moving from Seattle down to Texas on Saturday. 15 years of selling across multiple industries and any networking would be most appreciated.

Having tough time deciding between IB & Consulting. My thought process: I have a "better" background for IB (TAS/valuation) and with tech layoffs, this might push more potential would-be tech applications to pursue consulting (there by increased competition)? Additionally, you can do IB intern and full time consulting but not vice versa. I prefer consulting, but IB seems like the "safer" option? And if consulting does get hit hard, I would hopefully have a full time IB offer via internship.

Is it a realistic possibility to move from articling at a private firm in Windsor to an associate at Bay Street? I'm currently doing corporate commercial work.

I have clinical experience in ICU, PCU, telemetry, med/surg, OB, mother/baby and most recently utilization review and provider appeals. I have a strong skills in auditing and QM/QI with PM experience in implementing order protocols and treatment bundles. The PE culture is sick. The 20 something VP was rude to our partner because our team took thanksgiving and the day before off and it was in the engagement letter that we were gonna be off. He kept emphasizing that his team did our job while we were on a break. Dude we are not sick like you and we have lives. I see something about how s**t the PE culture is in every deal we support.

My jaw dropped at the comp numbers and I also really love the product, their selling philosophy (buyer centric, empathetic ; less volume based), and I feel like the CEO is an extremely empathetic bit straight forward person.

I am prepared to take a step back and go back into SDR/BDR. My question is , what is a reasonable time frame until I am promoted to an AE? Assuming I will be a good performer and hit quotas.
