How did talent outcomes go for everyone?? I’m DISAPPOINTED.

I’m in strategy and got promoted to L9 last December 24’. My base pay went from 33.5k to 40k. After waiting 6 months to have the pay normalise (my same-level peers were earning 59k), it went up to 51.5k??? WTF

Strategy L9s were earning 55k in 2021, so this feels like a massive slap to the face.

What are firm’s known billable requirements? Is there a ramp up period?

Deciding on a career path

I feel like my brain works like a consultant, and I would enjoy consulting, but I also looove all things finance & investing. While I don’t necessarily have extensive experience in the field (most of what I know is self taught, my major is accounting), I want to get involved in it somehow and learn more.

I currently work in audit, I’m not sure what exit opportunities are an option for me for the investing/finance industry. Feel like chances are are slim. Any advice?

I was just informed after the third round of interviews they’d like at least 5 references, two must be supervisors. My last job was a temporary remote job where I didn’t really interact with my supervisor and the jobs before that were at my family’s business (I do not speak to any of them for serious personal reasons.) Anything before that was grad school and I haven’t kept in contact with any professors from over five years ago. What should I do? 😕
