If you’re using your mouse in excel then you’re doing it wrong. Structure to the model is also important so you don’t need to make as many changes. Keep everything as dynamic as possible.
PowerPoint took me practice but look for example decks or ask your leadership
For past deliverables. Copy the styles and structure. It’ll save you time and you can focus more on the content. Get your shortcuts in the tool bar as well

Practice. Echoing what kpmg 1 said about excel. When I see someone using a mouse to build models, it makes me question a person’s ability to move data and do analyses efficiently.
For powerpoint, I would get a feel for how your firm likes telling a story. IMHO, too many companies make the mistake of cramming too much information on a slide. Sometimes it can’t be helped, especially if a senior level person is telling you to lay out a slide in a certain way, but the more you can show what is important on a slide in a way that engages the reader/ viewer, the better off you will be.
Oh and for PowerPoint—there is the craft of having a sense of design/ balance, but ttention the detail is really important. Are the footnotes precise and accurate? Do the numbers tie on a page, across the pages? Are you consistent in how you refer to things?
Practice and don't be afraid to ask questions and try to look over someone's shoulder / share screen as they work for a bit then ask questions. It is not something that comes magically, there are a lot of 'tricks' that you need to find out. There's probably a million videos on YouTube as well, but never watched any, but could check it out.

Practice, takes longer than 1 week to git gud at Excel/ppt. Force yourself to use keyboard shortcuts for most things, at first you'll be slower as you constantly look up the shortcuts but in the long run you will be dramatically faster. Print out shortcut pages so you can easily refer to them.
